 Iran Signed a Letter of Intent for Joining the South & Southeast Asia and China Mango Network

To join the mango network of South & Southeast Asia and China, the Horticultural Sciences Research Institute signed a letter of intent with the Tropical and Subtropical Cash Crops Research Institute, Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Science, China. The aim of this network is to increase mango production, preserve natural resources and improve the livelihood of farmers through joint studies and distribution of new mango technologies in South and Southeast Asia.

The 5th symposium of "Exchange and Cooperation to Enhance Innovation for Agricultural Science and Technology in South and Southeast Asia”, were held on September 28-29, 2021 with the support of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China (YAAS). The faculty members of 30 Chinese research institutes, 35 national, regional and international organizations and agencies, as well as some of the agricultural universities from Europe, Asia and Africa participated in this symposium. Horticultural Sciences Research Institute (HSRI) as the representative of Islamic Republic of Iran presented a report on situation of mango production in Iran at the academic workshop of “Research and Development of Mango Industry in South & Southeast Asia”.

Joining to the South & Southeast Asia and China Mango Network will provide the opportunity for application of technologies and information, implement joint scientific projects, germplasm and scientist exchange with the members of the Network.
